NEARBY BEACHES

Caloundra is famous for its spotless white beaches, here are three of the beaches located nearest to Gemini Resort.
Kings Beach
– Great for surfing! Kings Beach is a perfect beach for families with a child friendly water fountain and a FREE oceanfront saltwater swimming pool right under the Caloundra Surf Club! Shops and restaurants are all within walking distance and make sure to have a look at the rockpools north of the swimming pool. Kings beach is great beach to catch a few waves on a surfboard or boggie board.
Bulcock Beach
– Catch a few fish! Bulcock Beach is located on Bulcock street in Caloundra, again, very popular with families as this beach doesn’t have any waves to speak of. Calm waters mean the little ones can safely make a few sand castles while you relax in the sun. With fantastic views of the Pumicestone passage, Bribie Island (and Gemini Resort ), Bulcock Street contains some of the more sofisticated restaurants and coffee shops. This beach is patrolled from September to May. Throw a frisbee, kick a football or play in the playground in Happy Valley located behind the beach.
Golden Beach
– Our favorite! Golden Beach won the Sunshine Coast Clean Beach Challenge and Do the Right Thing Litter prevention award in 2008, which is a great example of the community’s reverence for this beautiful piece of paradise. With calm, tranquil waters, no waves and ever changing activity on the water, Golden Beach is the place to be for boating, fishing, swimming, (jumping off the jetty), paddle boarding, kayaking, sailing and well.. you get the picture. With too many absolute beachfront BBQs to count and more than one playground it is truly a fantastic place for couples and families. There is a boat ramp located just past Gemini Resort at the Caloundra Power Boat Club. Golden Beach is flagged and lifeguarded during school holidays. Gemini Resort is next door to Fraser Park and roughly 20 paces from Golden Beach and the beautiful Pumicestone passage.
